SIT? The benefits of befriending

Last Updated: Monday 9 May 2016

Undertaken by Befriending Networks 'The benefits of befriending' study explored perceptions of change in mental wellbeing among older clients of befriending (and related) projects following receipt of befriending support, using a 14 item scale based on The WarwickEdinburgh Mental Wellbeing Scale (WEMWBS).

The WarwickEdinburgh Mental Wellbeing Scale was funded by the Scottish Executive National Programme for improving mental health and wellbeing, commissioned by NHS Health Scotland, developed by the University of Warwick and the University of Edinburgh, and is jointly owned by NHS Health Scotland, the University of Warwick and the University of Edinburgh.
