Young people leading on evaluation – what gets in the way?

Event Description

Evaluation Support Scotland (ESS) invite you to join our virtual event to hear from others and share ideas about how you can start or keep going on your journey of empowering young people to lead on evaluation.

Encouraging young people to take the evaluation reins could be a fantastic opportunity to refresh your outcomes from young people’s perspectives or perhaps improve your tools for gathering evidence, while building young people’s skills and confidence at the same time.

Since 2018 ESS has been supporting youth work organisations funded by The National Lottery Community Fund to go ‘beyond gathering feedback’. We have learnt that there can be challenges (as well as rewards) along the way, whether that’s around finding the time, or building staff confidence on evaluation.

This event aims to provide you with an opportunity to:

  • Hear from youth workers who tested this approach out
  • Share your knowledge, experience, and concerns with others
  • Gain some practical tips about how (and why!) you might go ‘beyond gathering feedback’
