Making evaluation fit

Evaluation leaders peer network event

Thursday 28th April 2022, 10 am – 12 pm

This event is for:

This is a peer learning event for people in Scotland’s third sector with a role to lead evaluation in their organisation.  There will be opportunities for you to share experiences and trouble shoot challenges with your peers.

About this event:

One of ESS’s principles for “good enough” evaluation is that it should fit with the way you do your work.  But that’s easier said than done!  How do you build evaluation into day to day work?  How do you use make evaluation fit with your organisation’s approach and values?  How can evaluation be proportionate and accessible but still meaningful?  This event is for you if you are wrestling with these questions.

This free peer learning event is for people in the third sector with good understanding of evaluation.  You will share your experiences and hear tips from ESS and your peers of making evaluation accessible, proportionate and part of the day to day.

By the end of the morning we hope you will:

  • Hear tips to help make your own evaluation fit with your work
  • Have concrete ideas about how to address your own evaluation challenge

At this event:

There will be a mixture of short input from ESS and discussions where you can share experiences and trouble shoot challenges with your peers.

Please note this event is NOT training and we won’t teach you how to write outcomes or design methods.  If you need that please check out Let’s Evaluate!
