Resource Session – Making sense: analysing qualitative information

In these short free lunchtime sessions we will introduce one of our resources and share tips to help you get the most out of it, you’ll also have the chance to ask any questions. We have lots of great resources and practical tools freely available on our website – please let us know if there is a particular resource you’d like to see featured in a future session!

These sessions are designed for those with an existing knowledge of evaluation working in the third sector; those working in the public sector may also find them useful and are welcome to attend.  As a charity, our priority is to support volunteers and those employed in the voluntary and public sectors; therefore, our free resource sessions are not available to private consultants.

Come join us as we introduce the following resource:

This resource is about analysing qualitative information. Qualitative information is non numerical – It can be about what people say, hear or experience. It can be about: what has changed personally for them or what outcomes have been achieved.

Qualitative information can come in a variety of formats, for example: quotes, photographs, art work, or creative responses – stories (people telling you what has happened to them and how they feel).

This guide can be used to help you make sense of qualitive information.

You can find out about other resource sessions we’re hosting here. If you want to suggest a resource for a future session, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. To hear about new session dates, sign up to our newsletter or follow us on social media.
