Event

‘Supporting others with evaluation’ community of practice kick-off event

Who can attend:

People who work in intermediary organisations in the third sector in Scotland, whose role is to support other organisations/members.

About this event:

Evaluation Support Scotland (ESS) supports third sector organisations with evaluation. There are some organisations that, for one reason or another, we can’t reach – but other organisations can.

We held a focus group in September 2022 with members of intermediary organisations. The purpose was to find out how we could help intermediaries to incorporate evaluation support into their existing capacity-building support, so that good evaluation practice is embedded in the sector. Participants agreed that it would be useful to come together periodically as a “community of practice”, to share experiences/examples/tips on how they have or could support others with evaluation. The idea was that capacity-builders would have a dedicated space in which to share and learn from one another about how best to support their members with evaluation.

If you work in an intermediary organisation and play a role in supporting your members, and you’d like to be involved in the community of practice, please come along to the kick-off event. At the event, we’ll showcase the new ‘Supporting you to support others’ part of our website, and seek your opinions about how you want the community of practice to look.
