In this wrap-up of our recent theme: ‘Health and Wellbeing’ you will find resources, evaluation stories and updates we have shared during this theme!

We kicked-off our Health and wellbeing theme by providing ‘Evaluation Health Check’ sessions. These sessions were for people who wanted to improve their evaluation – but didn’t know where to start! We provided support to people by helping them think through what they might need to act on, and directed them to the relevant resources or training!
We then shared our blog ‘Wellbeing at ESS‘ – which demonstrates how we foster a positive culture and support our team!
At ESS we believe it is good practice to embed evaluation into all aspects of our organisation throughout the year, this includes our wellbeing policy – which is consistently shaped by the needs of our team.

Wellbeing at ESS
Our wellbeing policy is about how we recognise and manage different needs so that we can all individually be at our best, and so that ESS can perform at its best!
Throughout the theme we celebrated charity dates such as World Health Day, World Art Day, and Mental Health Awareness Week!
We also celebrated the Anniversary of the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games by attending the Power of Sport and Physical Activity conference, hosted by Spirit of 2012!
We were proud to be a partner at the event, along with my other fantastic organisations. The event proved to be a great opportunity for learning, sharing, and connecting with other organisations to celebrate the Power of Sport and Physical Activity!
The day was filled with valuable insights and discussions from notable speakers such as MSP Maree Todd, Minister for Social Care, Mental Wellbeing, and Sport. It was great to hear the Minister referring to the value of the Thrive Learning Programme (developed and delivered in partnership between Actify and ESS) in helping the sector use the power of physical activity and sport more effectively!
“I really enjoyed all the wonderful conversations that were sparked around what can get in the way of the power of physical activity and sport, as well as insights into how we can tackle these barriers.”
Martha Lester-Cribb, ESS Deputy CEO
