“At the time of writing this I have been with ESS for just a few weeks – in that time I have been made to feel very welcome and I am so pleased to be settling into the organisation and learning from both the team and Board.
The depth of knowledge at ESS is difficult to quantify, and the culture of sharing knowledge and learning that is synonymous with the charity runs through every part of the ESS machine; from day one my diary has been busy with welcome chats, development sessions, shadowing opportunities, and my new colleagues generously sharing their knowledge and experience.
One of the attractions of working at ESS is the opportunity to work with a diversity of organisations, and help them to understand and communicate the difference they make. Evaluation has always had an important role, but perhaps in the current climate it is even more critical to ensure we can demonstrate the difference we make and use evaluation to ensure we are delivering the best services for those who need them.
At ESS we’re committed to strengthening our knowledge about the ever-evolving needs of the third sector so we can ensure we are well placed to meet them and can support with some of the challenges ahead. As a charity we’re looking at how we evolve with the wider sector and are excited to be developing new services, so please do get in touch if you’d like to chat about what we can offer, or even just to connect!
I’m looking forward to supporting lots of new and familiar organisations and hope to work with many of you in the future.”
