In response to the Scottish Government’s homelessness action plan, The National Lottery Community Fund made a strategic decision to fund a small number of sizeable projects with a focus on preventing homelessness in Glasgow and Edinburgh. They were looking for projects that had people with lived experience at the heart of their development, and partnership applications were encouraged. Eight projects (involving 11 organisations) were funded for between 3 to 4 years, starting in 2019.
The National Lottery Community Fund was keen to find out more about what does and doesn’t work in order to inform future funding decisions and to be able to share the learning more widely. They asked Evaluation Support Scotland [ESS] to facilitate a learning programme, bring projects together regularly to share their experiences and gather further information via online questionnaires.
