The Stitch in Time? programme team worked with Edinburgh Leisure to develop a model that explained what they did and how they made a difference, and ways of evaluating a specialised intervention to engage participants who are rehabilitating from a fall or experiencing poor balance.
This case study is for commissioners and funders and third sector organisations.
In this case study we include:
· Edinburgh Leisure Steady Steps’ model of provision which explains the need that they are meeting and their activities..
· Some evidence of the need for this type of intervention and evidence that it can make a difference to strategic outcomes
We also include a paper on ‘Evaluation of an exercise programme’ in which we discuss the approach Edinburgh Leisure took to evaluation which can be found here: https://evaluationsupportscotland.org.uk/resources/sit-edinburgh-leisure-case-study-on-physical-exercise-evaluation/
