In June 2025 Scotland’s Third Sector Research Forum and (TSRF) and the Voluntary Sector Studies Network (VSSN) jointly hosted the research symposium ‘Perspectives on Scotland’s third sector impact’.
This day event, which followed Volunteers’ Week in Scotland, aimed to cast a critical eye over the many facets of impact that relate to the Third Sector in Scotland. This highly interactive event – held at the University of Glasgow – attracted people from the third sector and academia to explore:
- the impact of volunteering and the third sector
- the role and impact of researchers doing work in the sector
The leadership for the day was provided by VSSN, working with a steering group of representatives from Scotland’s Third Sector Research Forum; Youth Link Scotland, Volunteer Scotland, SCVO, the University of Glasgow, and Evaluation Support Scotland.
